Across the Divide – A Journey of Separation and Reunion
Vijay H Vazirani –
Finished the biography of Hashu Advani this eve. It is unfortunate that we were ignorant of his service to the sindhis till I read this. A refugee who settled in chembur , a suburb named after the crab & clawed his path upto the heights of parliament & a ministerial berth through his sincere efforts of every action & moment aimed at ameliorating the status of refugees through increased avenues of education for all !
His education in law had helped him see the pitfalls prior to decisions / policies being considered.
Every sindhi worth his/her salt owes it to the community to read & be aware of his contribution not only to sindhis but all Indians in general irrespective of caste & creed especially in the field of education with the ves umbrella spread over 26 institutions & medicine on the anvil

Menka Shivdasani –
This is a very important book about a personality who deserves far more attention than he has received. Prerna G’s book is an eye-opener, bringing Hashu Advani to life through many anecdotes and insights. Congratulations to the author. I wish this book all success.
